NETWORKED VIBRATION TESTING AND ANALYSIS USING INDUSTRY STANDARD PROTOCOLS

This paper outlines an innovative approach using standard network technologies to streamlinerntesting and data acquisition, distribute signal processing and analysis, and enhance the creation andrndistribution of test results. The TCP/IP-based data server architecture and industry standard interprocessrncommunication protocols, ActiveX and Component Object Model are explained. Thisrnarchitecture allows remote control of testing using standard Ethernet networks. The data server alsornallows live data analysis on Microsoft Windows-based computers across the local area network or thernInternet. Data sharing on the network allows independent data processing on the remote computer andrnmaximizes processing performance.
