摘要

We proposed a concept of virtual soil bin for lunar locomotion studies, where 2D DEM analysis was employed with a part of achievements from former Apollo Project. The purpose of this approach is to obtain more reliable and rational solution in the lunar locomotion studies by DEM. The demonstrated concept application suggests that the larger diameter of wheel would be effective for traction-slip performance. The validation of mechanical parameters for contact model of DEM under low-gravity condition should be added for further development of DEM simulation.
