The Habitation Team held numerous sessions with other teams during the Phase 1 activities. What follows is an identification of important demands on the Habitat which will need to be addressed during the consideration of any surface habitat on the Lunar surface and are identified to which Habitation Element(s) – Lunar Sortie, Outpost, or Base - it is applicable. Pressurized Rover Interface The pressurized rover emerged throughout this study as a critical element to enable the EVA distance goals stated and to enable the crew to move between safe locations for the habitat and intriguing science locations. However many questions on pressurized rover concept of operations for duration, crew support, EVA support, maintenance, distance and navigation remain unanswered. The interfaces, including maintenance, crew ingress, egress, power, thermal, and the radiation and dust of the outside environment also contain significant unknowns.
