摘要

In this study, we present some results on linking coupled fluid-flow and geomechanical modelling with seismic modelling. This work represents some of the research being conducted for the IPEGG (Integrated Petroleum Engineering, Geomechanics and Geophysics) consortium, a research partnership between the University of Bristol, University of Leeds RDR (Rock Deformation Research) and Rockfield Software Ltd. Specifically, we generate elastic models from a coupled flow-geomechanical simulation of a simple reservoir subsidence problem. We apply various rock physics theories to evaluate the elasticity of the reservoir model and examine the role of porosity and stress on seismic wave velocities.
