摘要

Based on the binary step-by-step operation of entity's coordinates and the principle of the Morton coding, a new coding technique for 3D- space entity, called as QuaPA, is suggested. The QuaPA/D comprises of principal ID sub 1, and auxiliary ID sub 2, The ID sub 1 represent for the entity's quadrant label and outline position, while the ID sub 2 sorely define the name and serial number of the entity. It will not change with the development of the object region along horizontal and vertical direction, and is suitable for the establishment and management of space data of non-boundary GIS.. Therefore, it could not only ensure the entities' ID in the new region not reduplicate with that in the original region, but also ensure the entities' ID in the original region not influenced by the development of the region. Its typical application filed are 3DGIS and 3DGM including mining engineering, engineering geology, underground excavation, strata environment, Geo-dynamics and global-change study.
