Development of Fukushima 1F-3 Spent Fuel Removal System

Shortly after the events of March 2011, Westinghouse was contacted for the development of a product to remove fuel from the Fukushima Daiichi Unit 3 (1F-3) spent fuel pool. The development of this system required a global team of engineers to be coordinated over an aggressive 18 month schedule from inception to delivery in Japan.
