The on board data handling subsystem for XMM/INTEGRAL space missions

摘要

This paper describes the experience gained by LABEN,a Finmeccanica company,in the design,implementation and development of the On Board Data Handling (OBDH)Subsystem tobe used in the next two ESA scientific missions:XMMand INTEGRAL.Special effort has been spent in order to accommodate the different needs and requirements of the two missions,with the prupose of reducing costs and improving the development schedule.As a result, a flexible and modular architecture has been realised,granting slso the possibility of reuse for other future space missions.
