JED JOHNSON DAM REHABILITATION ANDSEISMIC REINFORCEMENT

This paper presents a discussion of the investigations, analyses, design, andrnconstruction of modifications to seismically reinforce a concrete gravity dam using posttensionedrnrock anchors. Discussions include anchor analysis and design; corrosion protectionrnprovisions and epoxy coating requirements; and drilling, installing, and testing the anchors.rnThe project presented many challenges during construction including saw-cutting therntop of the dam, performing work from barges, and performing underwater work.
