Use Of Alginate Microparticles For Drug Delivery To Oesophagus

Attempt was made to investigate drug delivery tooesophagus using fluorescently labeled alginatemicro-particles and visualizing tissue distributionthree dimensionally by Confocal laser scanningmicroscopy (CLSM). Alginate micro-particles wereprepared by ion-gelation emulsification. Surfacemorphology studied by SEM and laser diffraction.Increased adherence of micro-particles tooesophageal tissue was observed.
