Microemulsion Gels for Topical Delivery of Antifungals

摘要

Novel O/W microemulsion based gelformulations containing slightly water solubleantifungal, fluconazole were developed. Thedeveloped microemulsions were characterized bypseudoternary phase diagram, particle sizeanalysis, in vitro drug release, in vitropercutaneous absorption and antifungal activity.The microemulsion gel would be an excellentvehicle for fluconazole topical drug delivery toobviate systemic side effects caused by its oraladministration.
