THE TISSUE DISTRIBUTION OF PACLITAXEL AFTER PERORAL ADMINISTRATIONOF MUCOADHESIVE FORMULATION

摘要

The purpose of this study was to determine thetissue distribution of paclitaxel after peroral administrationof mucoadhesive paclitaxel formulation. The paclitaxelformulation comprising monoglyceride, triglyceride andtween 80 was administered orally to female Balb/c mice.After the administration, paclitaxel was widely distributedin various organs, and maximum drug levels wereachieved in 2 h in most tissues. The paclitaxelconcentration was the highest in the liver. More than 5 %of the administered drug was found in this organ.
