The cooling water system simulator is a highly automated pilot plant for evaluating the performance ofrnanti-scaling, corrosion inhibitor and bio-fouling inhibitor chemicals in refinery cooling and bitumen extraction waterrnsystems which include heat exchangers and evaporative cooling towers. This paper describes the simulator'srndesign, construction, modes of operation and commissioning.
