The Central and Southern Florida (C&SF) Project is a multi-purpose water resouces oroject which was built by the Corps of engineers (Corps) to provide flood control; water supply for municipal,industrial,and agricultrual uses; prevention of saltwate intrusion; wter supply for Everglades National Park; protection fo fish and wildlife resouces; and other services to the suth Florida area.Ehile the project has seved its authorized purposes well,it has also had unintended adverse consequences on the unique Everglades and Florida Bay ecosystems.
