Controlled release of cephalexin through gellan gum beads

摘要

Gellan gum (GG) beads of cephalexinrnwere prepared by extruding the dispersion ofrncephalexin and GG into a solution of calciumrnchloride and zinc sulfate. Results indicatedrnthat the method is capable of producingrnbeads with > 60 % entrapment efficiencyrnand extending release up to 6 h.
