The objective was to develop and characterize abiodegradable drug-loaded nerve guide for peripheralnerve regeneration. Sabeluzole was selected asmodel compound. Solid dispersions of the drug and 4different biodegradable polymers were obtained bymelt compression. All samples show absence ofcrystalline sabeluzole, indicating the formation of anamorphous dispersion. The release measurementsindicated an effect of the polymer on the rate ofrelease.
