Based on the description on the contents and essence ofrnIndustrial Engineering (IE), this paper analyzes, from IErnpoint of view, opportunities and challenges that Chinesernenterprises are faced with after China’s entry to World TradernOrganization (WTO), and presents the need and importancernof popularization and application of IE in Chinesernenterprises to improve their integrated strength andrninternational competitive ability.
