Control accelerometer location is, in the author's opinion, the most critical of the many decisions that must be made by a testrnengineer or technician. The decision tremendously affects test outcome, and yet many test standards, specifications and testrnplan documents ignore this vital topic. If test personnel ask "Where shall I put it?", all too often a casual answer is "anyrnconvenient location" or a question "Where do you usually place it?"
