Mobile Schedule Tracking Technology At the Jobsite

Updater~(TM) is a new tool intended to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of construction schedule updating. It employs emerging palm-held computer technology to automate processes currently bound to manual paper-based methods due to incompatibilities between computers and the harsh construction environment. This paper describes the results of a Beta Test Program conducted to evaluate Updater's efficiency and effectiveness as a schedule updating tool, and the suitability of palm-held computers to the construction site.
