ARCHIVING VIDEO FILM ON HDDs

We need to develop a standard for archival HDDs. I am chair of the archival standards committee of IDEMA as well as a member of the ISO TC42 archival standards committee a the standards committee for the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA). So, I am a good position to help make this happen but the involvement of people in the HDD industry required. Please let me know if you would like to participate. Using HDDs will be a major change for archivists. Moving Image archivists realize that the must convert to digital but they are scared of this new world. Let's develop a standard that v preserve the video and film of today for our great-grandchildren and beyond!
