摘要

New approach to determine the optimum tire contour and optimum compound characteristics in each tire material was developed. In the new approach, optimization technology was combined with a finite element method. Through tire contour optimization, unprecedented tire contour was obtained and its contour improved maneuverability. Moreover through rubber material optimization, new tire construction was obtained and its constructioin improved durability. The new approach was verified to improve various tire performances by considering the corresponding objective function and constraints.
