Adaptive, surface-assisted permanent gratings in nematic liquid crystals

摘要

Permanent patterns written with light in dye-doped nematic liquid crystals without insulating layers persists in isotropic phase. These gratings are adaptive, as their diffraction efficiency can be either enhanced or reduced with low AC voltage.
