摘要

The search for new materials of possible application in optoelectronics and optical fiber technics includes a wide range of amorphous glassy materials. In this work we investigate lead-bismuth-gallium oxide glasses. These materials are characterized by good transmittance in a far infrared spectral region as compared to other oxide glasses and also interesting properties in nonlinear optics. Those features together with a conventional production technology allow to consider them as possible materials for optoelectronic devices and glass fibers transmitting in an infrared region.
