Interferometric measurements of acoustic waves generated during laser cleaning of works of art

At the beginning, the ranges of laser-matter interaction in dependence on the radiation power density are shortly discussed. Next, the suitable hydrodynamic model is described and some results of numerical calculations of interaction phenomena are presented. Finally, the measurements of amplitude of elastic wave generated inside object by interaction with pulse, Nd: YAG, Q-switched laser radiation are proposed. Measurements are conducted using Michelson interferometer.
