Monolithic blue upconversion fiber laser

摘要

We report a monolithic low threshold 482nm Tm:ZBLAN upconversion fiber laser. The laser cavity consists of a directly coated single-mode fluoride fiber. The vapour deposit coatings significantly reduce the coupling losses and are suitable to be pumped by laser diodes. The laser operation and threshold characteristics have been investigated. The output stability and beam quality was tested.
