摘要

In this paper an efficient and accurate method for the analysys of the band gap of 2D photonic crystals for in-plane propagation of TM and TE modes with anisotropic media has been proposed and some comparisons with the results of other methodologies have been provided. However further work is necessary to see if it is possible to use this method, with the same advantages, for the case of out of plane propagation.
