Image Processing Using BZ Reaction

摘要

The BZ reaction device was designed within which an image was illuminated onto the reaction medium membrane and the periodic changing of patterns occurred on the medium membrane. Image smoothing (blurring) and image restoration took place alternately. At last the image was blurred totally. A computable simulation of this reaction was applied. And it is found that the device is a very powerful implementation for image processing due to its parallel and efficiency. The expected image information can be obtained only through one reaction process.
