Dyneon Base Resistant Elastomers represent a new class of high performance elastomers which are demonstrating an improved base resistant compared to today's classical bisphenol and peroxide cured grades. The advantages of these BRE materials are derived from their well balanced nature, without compromising the mechanical properties, the useful temperature range and the good processability characteristics normally associated with fluoroelastomers. In addition to the aforementioned issues, the following advantages should be noted: 1. Improved overall chemical resistance, (especially against amines) in comparison -to regular fluoroelastomers. 2. Better heat stability compared to AEM, ACM and HNBR. 3. Significantly better processability and price / performance ratio compared to TFE/P Elastomers. Bearing in mind that in both automotive and industrial applications, lubricating fluids and operating environments are becoming more and more aggressive, these products assist the seal manufacturer in their development of new products with an increased durability, chemical resistance and hence a longer service life - products for the future.
