Fuel cells are an invention of the 19th century. If the automakers, fuel cell manufacturers, energy providers, and last but not least, local and federal government work hard, fuel cells have the potential to become a successful innovation in 21st century automotive technology. At DaimlerChrysler we are deeply committed to innovation, including the development of new technology to address the environmental impact of the automobile. We consider fuel cells to be the most promising of all alternative drive trains in the long run.
