Fine particle contamination has caused numerous problems for various industries including the health, pharmaceutical and semi-conductor. This paper addresses the adequacy of the Monte-Carlo method for modelling spherical particle dispersion in turbulent flow. A Fortran code was written with a view to the integration of the particle equation of motion based on fluid flow predicted by a Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) program. FLOFENVT~(TM)by Flomerics, is specifically designed for predicting ventilation performance in the indoor environment. Good agreement with experimental data is achieved in this case. This model makes it possible to examine airborne particulate control, contamination control for manufacturing processes, cleanrooms and other containment facilities.
