Reliability theory applied to acems testing

The exceedance-time theory of Predictive Emissions Monitoring Systems "ACEMS" availability is extended to the software model testing process by introduction of an acceleration factor. It is shown that the accelerating factor of parametric modeling can be determined from instrumentation data and used to make predictive estimates of ACEMS software reliability for similar 40 CFR Part 75 hardware products.
