CONSCIENCE OF BLOGS: VERIFYING CONTEXTUAL APPROPRIATENESS OF EMOTIONS BASED ON BLOG CONTENTS

This paper presents a method for estimating contextual appropriatenessrnof speaker’s emotions. The method is usingrnan affect analysis system to estimate the speaker’s emotionsrnand a Web mining technique gathering from the Internetrnassociations about emotional common-sense. The baselinernof the Web mining technique, using all of the Web, is improvedrnby restricting the query field to the contents of blogsrnas containing more evaluative information. A conversationalrnagent equipped with this system could choose an appropriaternconversational procedure. The proposed methodrnis evaluated using two conversational agents. The use ofrnblog contents improved the method in the aspect of qualityrnas well as time of processing.
