A wave model and a hydrodynamic model were used to study the potential impact of sandrntransfer from Stump Pass inlet to its downdrift beach by relocating the inlet channel to its 1980rnposition. Based on wave model results, potential longshore sediment transport rates were computed.rnA sediment budget was developed based on historical survey data and computational results. Thernhydrodynamic model was used to study inlet hydraulic stability. The information was synthesized tornevaluate the potential and probable impact of the channel relocation on the inlet area and the adjacentrnshorelines.
