Delivering Comprehensive Reports for the Pan-European Research Network based on ITIL Best Practices

Delivery of Advanced Network Technology to Europe (DANTE) has set up anrnin-house Network Operations Centre (NOC) to support the Gigabit EuropeanrnAcademic Network (GéANT) and other networks. Several processes andrnmonitoring tools have been put in place to support this operationalrnenvironment. Each tool provides a view of the performance of the servicesrnand their components. A reporting infrastructure that integrated the outputrnfrom these tools was required to present the results to end users. This paperrndescribes the relevant concepts used to build that reporting infrastructure.
