A NEW SUPPLY CHAIN MATURITY MODEL WITH 3-DIMENSION PERSPECTIVE

SCMM (Supply Chain Maturity Model) is a techniques andtools system that supports supply chain innovation bycontinuous improvement based on evaluating supply chainmaturity and performance. The key to its effectivenessdepends on the comprehensive and accurate evaluation ofsupply chain. Three typical SCMMs are reviewed andevaluated in this paper. And then three closely interrelatedcomponents of supply chain are put forward based on asurvey of several firms. And all of them are viewed as 3-dimension perspective for evaluating supply chain. After that,a new SCMM, 3D-SCMM, is presented, in which the conceptof 3D-Supply Chain Maturity is defined and three sub-modelsare developed for evaluating and improving supply chainaccording to 3-dimension perspective.
