摘要

In this paper, a prototype wireless sensing system specifically designed for structural monitoring is introduced. A network of up to 20 wireless sensing units is installed on the Voigt Bridge located on the campus of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Strong agreement between the data collected by the wireless system and by a pre-installed cable-based monitoring system is observed. The measurements obtained from the wireless monitoring system are employed to determine the primary modal frequencies and operating deflection shapes of the bridge deck.
