Pipes of conveying fluid play an important role and are widely used in industries. At the same time, vibration in pipes causes noise pollution, even pipes damage or machine damage when vibration in pipes is severe. So research on vibration control of pipes conveying fluid has widely practical background and economy significance. Methods of vibration control of pipes conveying fluid and corresponding control theory summarizations are introduced, including passive control, active control, semi-active control and hybrid control. Then the practical application and the current state of vibration control research on pipes conveying fluid about internal and overseas are summarized. Finally further research fields of vibration control of pipes conveying fluid are presented.
