AN INEXPENSIVE TECHNIQUE TO FABRICATE HYBRID GLASS/PLASTIC OPTICAL FIBER SENSORS FOR STRUCTURAL HEALTH MONITORING

摘要

In this paper, we present a novel economical technique to fabricate hybrid glass/plastic optical fiber sensors. The experimental set-up and the components used for the fabrication process are described in details. The experimental results are presented and the influences of the fabrication parameters are discussed.
