摘要

A new model to predict pressure drop due to friction between gas/solid suspension and downer wall in the fully developed section was developed. The results show that the friction can cause a significant deviation of the apparent solids holdups from the actual ones under certain operating conditions. After the predicted frictional pressure drop is added to the total pressure drop, the predicted actual solids holdups agree well with the measured values.
