摘要

A pocket cold-cathode PIG ion source with permanent magnet has been successfully developed to produce negative ion beams at Institute of heavy ion physics, Peking University. With gas flow less than 20cc/h and power consumption 50-80W, no cesium fed into the discharge chamber, though the system transmission is only about 15%, 9 μ A H~-, 195 μ A O~-, 175 μ A F~- analyzing currents have been extracted with the discharge gases H:, 0;, BF3 respectively, in addition, 60 μ A F~-, 68 μ A Cl~- and 39 μ A Br~- analyzing currents can be obtained by sputter on the NaCl, NaF, NaBr anti-cathode respectively.
