摘要

This paper presents a fourth-order accurate explicit multi-stage finite difference time domain (EMS-FDTD) method. The analysis shows that the stability limit of this FDTD method is much relaxed in comparison with those of some explicit FDTD methods like the Fang-FDTD method, and its numerical dispersion is better than that of the Fang-FDTD method. In addition, the numerical dissipation of the EMS-FDTD method is lower than those of some high-order accurate FDTD methods.
