Effect of local irradiation of heavy ion beams on the embryogenesis and morphogenesis of the silkworm, Bombyx mori, were studied using an AVF cycrotron in JAERI, The Results indicate that local irradiation of heavy ions is a useful radiosurgery for studying the mechanism of embryogenesis, growth and differentiation of the silkworm.
