THE INDUSTRIAL TEST OF RECIRCULATING SEAWATER COOLING TREATMENT TECHNIQUE

As one of new techniques in the domain of seawater resources utilization, industrial recirculating cooling seawater treatment technique belongs to the field of seawater direct utilization. To alleviate the fresh water shortage of coastal cities and district in China , it is an important way to substitute seawater for fresh water taken as industrial water , especially as industrial cooling water. This has profound significance and must be enforced. With higher salinity, a greater variety and higher count of micro- and organism than fresh water, seawater is particularly susceptible to corrosion and scale as well as fouling. But the results of industrial recirculating seawater cooling treatment test in which tower flow rate is 100 m~3/h indicated as followers: In the fields of steel corrosion control, scale-control, fouling deposits-control, biofouling control and so on, the technique of industrial recirculating cooling seawater treatment, by adding water treatment chemicals(such as anti-corrosive agent, scale dispersing inhibitor, algicide and biocide ,etc.), can fulfill or approach national standard which stipulates relevant water quality requirements.
