Research on co-slurry ability of blue-green algae and shenfu coal

A new method of blue-green algae disposal has been proposed: according to the gasification technology of coal water slurry (CWS ), blue-green algae replace the water of the CWS mixed with coal particles and chemical additives to prepare coal-algae slurry and realize the co-gasification with coal through entrained-flow gasifier. This paper studied the AFFECT of different treatment on blue-green algae on the maximum solids loading, rheology and static stability of the coal-algae slurry. The research showed that anaerobic digestion, chemical treatment, agitate and heating which were used as pre-treatment ways on blue-green algae led to its apparent viscosity declined from 72mPa.s to 4.5mPa.s on sharing rate 100s -1 , which was favourable for improving the maximum solids loading of coal-algae slurry. The highest loading of coal-algae slurry which treated blue-green algae mixed with Shenfu coal particles and chemical additive was less than 60%; while if we put some water into the coal-algae slurry, the quality ratio of water to blue-green algae was 1:1 and the highest loading of coal-algae slurry was over 60%, which met the industry requirement. The sediment time of coal-algae slurry was about 60h in contrast to 4h of CWS. Coal-algae slurry was pseudo-plastic liquid, which was shear-thinning and easy to transport.
