In the present study, two mesocarbons MC-KIT-6 and MC-SBA-16 were nanocast using mesoporous silica of KIT-6 and SBA-16 as templates and furfuryl alcohol as carbon precursor. TEM and XRD characterization confirmed that as-prepared MC-KIT-6 has a la3d ordered structure, whereas MC-SBA-16 belongs to Im3m space group. The surface area and the average pore size are (1658m 2 /g and 3.4nm) for MC-KIT-6 and (1638m 2 /g and 2.9nm) for MC-SBA-16, respectively.Compared with MC-SBA-16, MC-KIT-6 has a better cyclic voltammograms performance, perhaps due to the difference of pore arrangement.
