Four Gemini surfactants, abbreviated as (CnN)2OH (n=12,14, 16 and 18) were synthesized and analyzed in this paper. The surface tension and critical micelle concentration of the solution containing the Gemini surfactants were determined at and the results show that the values of cmc are much lower than the conventional surfactants. The synergistic effect between (CnN)2OH (n=12 and 14) in low concentration and SDS (dodecyl sodium sulfate) measured at 25℃ in aqueous 0.1 parameter β . The Gemini surfactants (CnN)2OH (n=12,14, 16 and 18) can be used as bactericide in industrial circulating water like some conventional quaternary ammonium surfactants.
