Biological Agent Warning Sensor (BAWS): Laser Induced Fluorescence as the Joint Biological Point Detection System Trigger

Hundreds of BAWS units have been manufactured and sold for field use, logging over 200,000 hours of operation time. It has competed favorably in countless field trials and has recently been used as a "truth" sensor. Its ability to accurately detect low concentration aerosols has made it the sensor of choice as the trigger for the JBPDS and JPS. GDATP is proud that BAWS will help strengthen the line of defense against biological attacks and stands committed at improving these capabilities.
