Despite the widespread emergence of geographical ecenters of entrepreneurship,or"hot spots," and their imoprtant impact on the economy,relatively little research has bene condiucte on the forces that indluence their devleopment.To address this gap.THis paer foucses on the rlationship betwen lcaolized decision making and fthe dynamics of competition and performance.dvocating an autogenetic perspective of orgnaizaitons tha tviews entrepreneurship as an emergent social process,we build a computational mdel of how ocmetitive behaivor by individual new ventures evolves into aggregate geogrpahic clusters with complex collective porperties.
