The pre-oxidized fibre mixed with green petroleum coke powders in-situ carbonizationrnwithout any binder to prepare C/C composites is an effective method to manufacture advancedrnC/C composites with shorter period and lower cost . But just like other C/C composites , thernoxidation resistance of the material produced by this kind of technological method is not veryrnsatisfied , and the crack problem will occur if the oxidation resistance coating is adopted becausernof the different thermal expansion coefficients between the coating and the matrix . This problemrncan well be solved by adding BrnB4C SiC , and Si powders which can restrain oxidation of the C/Crncomposites . The results show that the increase of oxidation resistance is remarkable when therncontents of BrnB4C SiC and Si powders are 10 wt℅. 10wt℅ and 5 wt℅, respectively. Thernregularities and mechanism of the effects of the additives on the oxidation resistance of therncomposites were discussed.
