KNOWNS: 1. Disability benefits have the greatest impact on healthcare spend 1.1 Increases spend by roughly $25,000 2. Lower Incomes generally produce poorer health outcomes and tend to 3. Higher healthcare utilization in more expensive ways (e.g., ED usage) 4. Employment status and type of employment will not be captured consistently in an EMR in a codified way 5. Economic well-being may well be the most determinant factor for health outcomes 6. Commercially available data such about both an individual, and a community's economic trajectory, may be predictive 7. Census collects data on six types of disability: hearing, visual, ambulatory, cognitive, self-care, independent living. Each receives SSI payments.
