This paper analyzes the parasitic problems of X-band electromagnetic environment microstrip SIR (Stepped Impedance Resonator) band-pass filter circuits, SIR filter is characterized by that its parasitic response can be adjusted through the impedance ratio K, which can enhance the performance of harmonic suppression. Then the ADS simulation tool is used to design an X-band SIR filter example, the simulation results show that the filter works on 10 GHz at the center frequency with a relative bandwidth of 20%, which effectively suppresses the parasitic bands, the attenuation at the second harmonic band is up to 46 dB.
